Carroll Perkins Named Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Lee Hampton, president of Rita Barber, Inc., an Abilene, Texas-based provider of burial clothing, has announced the appointment of Carroll Perkins as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

“Carroll’s years of experience representing Rita Barber make him a tremendous asset to our company,” Hampton said.  “He has great respect for the caring service our customers in the funeral profession provide and is extremely knowledgeable about how our products assist funeral directors and the families they serve.”

Perkins has represented the company in Texas for the past 14 years as a sales consultant. During that time, he has served as an officer in the Texas Funeral Supply Sales Club and was president in 2000-2001. He also has been an active member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association and currently serves on the Association’s Media Relations Committee.

“I am truly honored to be asked to join the operations staff at Rita Barber, Inc.,” said Perkins, who served in the United States Air Force prior to joining Rita Barber, Inc. in 1993.  “I look forward to the challenging job ahead and continuing my association with funeral service professionals.

“The past 14 years have been pure enjoyment for me,” the new vice-president continued.  “Not only have I had the opportunity to represent the highest quality, most fashionable burial garments in the funeral industry, but I also have become friends with some of the most dedicated caring professionals in Texas.”

Rita Barber, Inc., was established by a young widow with a family to support in 1928. Celebrating its 80th anniversary, the company is represented nationally by a network of sales consultants and funeral supply distributors.
